in the fire station meeting room.

A light meal, sponsored by the Fire Department, will be provided following the meeting.
ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE LeROY FIRE DISTRICT
December 12, 2017
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the LeRoy Fire District, a joint fire district encompassing both the Town and Village of LeRoy, will take place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at the LeRoy Fire Station located at 4 Clay Street, LeRoy, New York 14482, for the purpose of electing one Fire Commissioner for a five (5) year term commencing January 1, 2018 and ending December 31, 2022.
All persons residing in the LeRoy Fire District at least thirty (30) days next preceding the election, and duly registered with the Genesee County Board of Elections on or before November 20, 2017, shall be eligible to vote.
NOTE: Any person who did not vote in at least one of the last two Federal elections is no longer registered to vote, and their name has been removed from the eligible voter list by the Genesee County Board of Elections.
Candidates for Fire District office of Commissioner must file their names in writing for the position they are seeking with the Secretary of the LeRoy Fire District no later than twenty (20) days before the election, (by November 22, 2017), by mailing to 4 Clay Street, LeRoy, NY 14482. Filing of names received by the Secretary after 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 shall be invalid regardless of any postmark or other indicia of mailing.

Please take notice that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the LeRoy Fire District of the Town of LeRoy, County of Genesee, New York, will hold its regular meetings during the year 2017 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the meeting room in the LeRoy Fire Station at 4 Clay Street, LeRoy, New York. Dates of these meetings will be as follows:
January 10, 2017 – Annual Organizational Meeting
January 24, 2017
February through October – Second and fourth Tuesdays of each month
October 17, 2017 (3rd Tuesday) – Public Hearing on Budget for 2018
November – One meeting on November 14, 2017
December – Two meetings - December 5 and 19, 2017
All meetings of the LeRoy Fire District Board of Commissioners are open to the public.
This notice is being posted in accordance with the provisions of Section 104 of the Public Officers Law of the State of New York.
